Tom Mitsoff

Tom has been reporting and editing news for 20 years, working in every aspect of the business. His specialty is news, having served as editor of daily and weekly papers in the Dayton, Ohio area for most of that time. For three years, the Florence resident was executive editor for the 18-publication Suburban Newspapers of Dayton (Ohio) company, for which he also created its website. During his 20-year career, he has been the lead editor of publications for 15 years, and has been webmaster of company web sites for three years. He also co-owned his own newspaper company for four years. Tom has received reporting, graphics and column writing awards from the Associated Press and United Press International.
Larry Nager

Larry also has 20 years experience in journalism, covering music news for The Cincinnati Enquirer; music and hard news for The Cincinnati Post, and music news for The Memphis Commercial Appeal. He authored a book, Memphis Beat, about the music scene in Memphis. For the past eight years Larry was The Cincinnati Enquirer's music critic. He brought to the job a thorough knowledge of a variety of music including blues, rock, R&B, and bluegrass. He created and produced the annual Cammy Awards, the Enquirer's Pop Music Awards, to help honor and feature local musicians and raise money for music scholarships. He is responsible for the Challenger reports on government news, education, state news, real estate and business.

Tricia leads her team of feature reporters with authority and creativity, and writes from the heart or from the hip — whichever is required at the moment. Tricia has worked as an associate editor for Antenna Arts Magazine, an editor for Snitch Newsweekly, and content editor for CitySearch online city guide. She brings enthusiasm, intelligence, and a great sense of humor to The Sunday Challenger and ChallengerNKY.com team.
Lori Cossens

Lori, a Northern Kentucky resident and native, has worked as a reporter for The Community Recorder, and has written for local and national publications, including Family Circle Magazine. The Fort Thomas resident brings curiosity and tenacity to her work.
Jason Feldmann

Jason, a Northern Kentucky native, comes to the Sunday Challenger with five years of journalism experience, coming off a four-year stint as a reporter and photographer with The Grant County News in Williamstown, Ky. Before that, he spent a year as sports editor with The Opinion-Tribune in Glenwood, Iowa.
He brings deep curiosity and solid reporting skills to the news team. He has received awards in news writing, photography and column writing from the Kentucky Press Association, including the KPA’s 2003 First Place News Writing Award.
Jason lives in Covington and is excited to work for the new Sunday newspaper dedicated to his home community. Besides his life-long interest in writing and journalism, Jason is also passionate about sports, music, politics and film.
Lew Moores

Lew is something of an icon in the local media scene. He was a long-time columnist for The Cincinnati Post, and has also written for The Cincinnati Enquirer, CityBeat and Cincinnati Magazine, among many others. Lew has covered everything from police beats to a scientific expedition to the Philippines. He says he is excited about the promise of working with a new media company, and is happy to be a part of the shaping the vision of The Sunday Challenger and ChallengerNKY.com.
Vicki Prichard

Vicki is a journalist to the core, but she is also a thinker and a dreamer. With degrees in both Journalism and Literature, and a minor in Political Science, Vicki brings many schools of thought to her keyboard. She began her career with Kentucky Educational Television in 1983, where she worked as an associate producer until 1989. The Fort Mitchell resident has written for The Cincinnati Post, Cincinnati Magazine, and a variety of other local and national publications. Her style is at times both eloquent and irreverent, and always on the mark.
Pama Mitchell

Pama is the newspaper's resident know-it-all. It took a year and hundreds of personal interviews to find out what Pama suspected from the start: When it comes to news coverage, Northern Kentuckians feel they are left out of the loop. Pama's experience in mass communication research is an invaluable part of the formation of the mission of The Sunday Challenger and ChallengerNKY.com. In addition, Pama is a health nut of sorts, and will write occasional articles on cooking, eating and making healthy food choices.

A Florence resident, Melissa has been freelance writing since 1999. She has written for The Community Press/Recorder and edited Clovernook Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired's monthly volunteer newsletter while continuing her education and mentoring girls as a Brownie Girl Scout troop co-leader. Melissa has a degree in Liberal Arts and a certificate in Women's Studies from the University of Cincinnati. The former Westside resident worked for Cinergy Corporation from 1987 to 1996.

With 30-plus years experience in the media advertising field, Mike has what it takes to make The Sunday Challenger and ChallengerNKY.com a sweeping success. Mike spent 12 years in sales with the Dayton Daily News, and has also worked for TV Guide magazine and as a regional sales and marketing manager for the Time-Warner Cable television network. He has previous experience with start-up publications, including a business magazine in the Dayton market known as Business Life. Mike calls himself a very competitive person, and says his experiences with coaching high school football also serve as a model for his work. He is a go-getter who hates to lose, and will bring the expertise needed to launch a new publication.

Chris knows how to have fun, and that's one of many attributes that make him so good at what he does. Chris says he enjoys the work he is doing because it allows him to be creative and strategic at the same time. Chris has worked for The Cincinnati Enquirer and has a journalism degree from Northern Kentucky University. He says it is a thrill to be in on the ground floor of something new and innovative.

Tracy has a diverse background, and a variety of artistic experiences. Tracy attended The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, then worked briefly in the fashion field before turning to advertising. As a district sales manager for Cintas uniform company, Tracy worked with clients like Airforce One and helped provide uniforms for staffers at The Pentagon. She brings energy and know-how to her position, and a decidedly unique perspective.

Dan has worked as a courtroom sketch artist, designed edgy greeting cards, and had fun as a caricaturist for parties and events. But Dan's true gift is as an editorial cartoonist. His wry visual commentaries have been published hundreds of times in publications all over the Midwest. He brings to his work creativity, skill, and a desire to "make politicians sweat."

He says he is enjoying the chance to work in a small business that has such big goals for the future.

Martie joined Challenger Communications in October 2003, and fulfills numerous support functions for Challenger Communications. Prior to joining Challenger, Martie was an administrative assistant in the crew personnel department at Midland Enterprises' Ohio River Company in Cincinnati.

Tim brings nearly 40 years of newspaper circulation experience to Challenger. His career spans 26 years with the Dayton Daily News, and 13 years with the Suburban Newspapers of Dayton (Ohio) and that company's subsequent owner, Brown Publishing. Tim served as circulation director for the 18-publication Suburban Newspapers of Dayton company, which served five counties in the Dayton area.
