New Sunday Newspaper for NKY Begins July 4

COVINGTON A new Sunday newspaper providing intensely local coverage of Boone, Campbell and Kenton counties in Northern Kentucky will be delivered to homes in the three counties beginning July 4.

Challenger Communications, LLC, of Covington, Ky., today announced plans to publish and distribute some 65,000 copies of "The Sunday Challenger" free of charge to homes in Boone, Kenton and Campbell counties beginning on the Independence Day holiday.

"Our mission is to provide the intensely local coverage of Northern Kentucky that the region deserves," says Donald J. Then, publisher of The Sunday Challenger and president of Challenger Communications. "Readers will find content designed to inform, surprise, entertain and challenge them," Then says. "Our reports will provide perspective on a wide variety of issues pertinent to the region. We will provide insight and commentary to the people of Northern Kentucky."

Every story and every page in The Sunday Challenger will include in-depth stories about issues affecting the residents of Northern Kentucky.

Upon its launch, The Sunday Challenger will be the most widely circulated Sunday newspaper in the three-county Northern Kentucky region, Then says, making it a very attractive vehicle for advertisers trying to reach Boone, Campbell and Kenton county residents on a day of the week when they are looking for both locally intensive advertising and news information.

The Sunday Challenger will report on an array of issues which affect Northern Kentucky, including:

A staff of approximately 20 editors, reporters, sales reps and media specialists has been assembled. They have worked for various media outlets throughout the region, bringing instant credibility to the newspaper.
