Do we have enough respect for our citizens to protect our borders?

During talks with Polish President Andrzej Duda, senior White House officials say security cooperation and new economic deals, like energy imports from the USA will be high on the agenda.

President Trump also stressed the US ties to Poland.

Thousands of people came to Krasinski Square, to listen to what the U.S. President Donald Trump had to say to them. He's expected to praise the Polish people for fighting for their independence and their identity during and after WWII.

"We expect the United States to confirm the commitments resulting from Article 5 of the Washington Treaty (one for all, all for one) and to provide Poland with guaranties of safety, confirmed by the permanent presence of USA troops on our land". On June 30, Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski said Poland expected to diversify its gas import from Russian Federation by reaching a deal with the United States on shale gas deliveries. Trump will then attend the G-20 summit in Germany on Friday and Saturday.

Trump also announced new measures to work with Poland, specifically to address Russia's "destabilizing behavior".

The Poles weren't the only ones who loved President Trump's speech - Retired Army Lt. Col. Ralph Peters did also.

"The United States has demonstrated not merely with words, but with its actions, that we stand firmly behind Article Five", Trump said, referring to the bloc's mutual defence commitment.

U.S. President Donald Trump holds a joint press conference with his Polish counterpart at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, Poland, July 6, 2017. Poland is one of the few North Atlantic Treaty Organisation countries to have honored an agreement to contribute at least 2 percent of their gross domestic product to their own defense, an issue that Trump has repeatedly raised during his campaign and since taking office.

North Korea test-fired its first intercontinental ballistic missile Tuesday, marking a significant step forward in its weapons program and an escalation of a nuclear standoff with the U.S.
