Trump Appears to Confirm He Is Under Investigation

Comey, who was sacked on May 9, told a Senate panel last week he believed Trump dismissed him to undermine the FBI's Russian Federation probe.

On Friday morning - still upset - Trump berated the press again.

Now, Mr Trump has suggested that he is indeed being investigated.

President Trump on Friday morning confirmed that he is under investigation for firing former FBI director James Comey, in a tweet that raised questions about Trump's understanding of who is in charge of that investigation.

Trump also appeared to put Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in his crosshairs.

As pressure has mounted, Rosenstein on Thursday night issued an unusual statement, asking Americans to "exercise caution" when reading stories attributed to anonymous officials. On Friday, the President tweeted he was under "investigation", which he called a "witch hunt" in another tweet.

The Republican president has repeatedly complained about the probe, calling it a witch hunt and saying Democrats can not accept his election victory.

"Why is that Hillary Clinton's family and Dems dealings with Russian Federation are not looked at, but my non-dealings are?" he asked. "Nice", Mr Trump wrote in his first tweet.

Francis referred to the "devastating fire" at the end of his Sunday prayer, delivered from his studio window overlooking St. He said it was vital to focus on the prevention of new fires, amid a continuing heat wave, strong winds and lack of rain.

On Thursday Trump derided a "witch hunt" against him, led by some "very bad" people.

Yesterday, news broke that Mike Pence hired outside counsel to represent him on related inquiries as well.

In another tweet Friday morning, Trump said it's "sad" that seven months of investigations and hearings into possible links between his campaign and Russian Federation have been fruitless.

Those officials are Dan Coats, the director of national intelligence, Michael Rogers, the head of the National Security Agency and Richard Ledgett, the former NSA deputy director, according to reports. Terming Comey's allegations untrue, Trump later said he was willing to testify under oath but Mueller's reported investigation into the president's actions means that Trump will have to live with the ghost of another probe reaching to the White House.

As Bob Mueller, the special investigator now heading the FBI's probe into allegations of Russian election meddling, filled out his legal team and prepared to begin interviews, Trump erupted furiously for a second consecutive day.

The interest in Kushner's activities by the special counsel's office is no more extensive than the FBI's interest in his multiple roles on both the Trump campaign and transition team, which CNN reported last month.
