AMD Vega GPUs will be announced for consumer PCs during SIGGRAPH

Along with a Ryzen CPU, the Asus ROG Strix GL702ZC also packs AMD's new mobile RX 580 GPU.

This future laptop will feature AMD's quad-core mobile Ryzen with Radeon graphics. ASUS claims a Cinebench score of 1410 and 60% more CPU compute power compared to any other laptop on the market. One of the great aspects about Ryzen mobile is that the chips will be much faster than AMD's previous mobile APU generation, with a focus on maximizing performance-per-watt.

Following the recent launches of seven AMD Ryzen desktop processors, including AMD Ryzen™ 7 and AMD Ryzen™ 5, created to bring innovation and competition back to the full spectrum of premium PC markets, AMD outlined continued momentum for Ryzen.

AMD showed off Radeon RX Vega running Prey on Ultra settings at 4K, with two Radeon RX Vega graphics cards in CrossFire. all powered on their new ThreadRipper 16C/32T processor.

AMD officials also showed off the company's upcoming Ryzen-based mobile chip in what looked like a reference convertible laptop.

Trump meets Pope Francis at Vatican
The meeting appeared quite respectful but the Pope left Trump with an epic gift: the encyclical he penned on climate change. Trump will soon be leaving Rome, en route to Brussels for meetings with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation leaders.

In a little bit another context, we're really hoping that AMD is going to shed some more light on the upcoming Threadripper chips such as pricing and maybe even release date.

For server customers, AMD promised that the first off-the-shelf machines featuring its Epyc processors in single- and dual-socket configurations would be hitting the market on June 20th. "Our Lenovo IdeaCentre desktops with the latest AMD Ryzen processor give users outstanding multitasking capabilities, alongside the high performance they need for next-gen personalized computing experiences, such as VR and high-quality streaming". Asus will use the new socket in its first Ryzen Threadripper motherboard, called the Zenith Extreme.

So there you have people, stay tuned for SIGGRAPH, as we'll finally get to see RX Vega for the first time, not to mention EPYC and possible Threadripper launches over the coming months. Major Taiwanese brands such as Asrock, Asus, Gigabyte and MSI will have motherboards ready when the chip ships.

During its Computex livestream, AMD's CEO, Lisa Su, revealed that the gaming/consumer version of the VEGA graphics card, the AMD Radeon RX Vega, will be launched during this year's SIGGRAPH event.

Beyond that, EPYC enterprise CPUs were given a Jun 20, 2017 hard launch date, and Radeon Instinct Vega "Redeon Vega Frontier Edition" workstation/enterprise GPUs were given a hard launch date of June 27th.
