Ultimate Setup: the best Nintendo Switch accessories

Today as part of Nintendo's latest earnings report for the fiscal year ended March 31, Nintendo provided the first worldwide shipment update for the Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo estimates profit to grow to JPY 65 billion ($583.85 million or roughly Rs. 3,746 crores) from JPY 29.4 billion a year prior.

Nintendo, which also makes the 3DS portable console, is projecting its profit for the fiscal year through March 2018 at 45 billion yen ($405 million).

Pokémon GO led to increased sales of software in the Pokémon series and drove the Nintendo 3DS family hardware sales growth outside of Japan.

Late past year the company patented a VR headset that appeared to be created to hold the Nintendo Switch tablet, but naturally people questioned its feasibility.

Add in sales of Zelda's Wii U version, and the game is now sitting at 3.84m units total.

Nintendo's consummate March release The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is being reworked in the style of the franchise's 30-year-old debut. Nintendo expects to sell 10 million units for the current financial year.

Severe weather and flooding hit the Plains and South
Isolated thunderstorms are possible heading into Friday, becoming more scattered Saturday and Sunday as a moist airmass moves in. The weather will be fairly warm, with temperatures hovering in the 70s to low 80s despite the expected cloud cover, Clarke said.

Nintendo also revealed that its more affordable 3DS console is continuing to sell well, with 7.27 million units sold over the past fiscal year, an increase of 7% year-on-year.

Nintendo's stock is in the middle of its best run in a decade.

Switch software is likewise off to a great start. But the one big thing Nintendo doesn't have their toes in yet that the rest of the gaming world appears to have embraced is virtual reality. Along with strong sales of the Nintendo Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, it looks like the 3DS is still going strong. "Not only is it a fantastic game, but it's one that directly appeals to Nintendo's loyalest fans", reports Business Insider.

First up are the hardware sales numbers. But what if some of those games that might be better suited to bolster your new platform are being put on your aging "other" platform that, while very successful and already in a lot of homes, is well past its prime? All these games may boost the sales for Nintendo Switch even more.

Next up, the Wii U system sold 760,000 units during the period, that's 77% less year-over-year.

By launching earlier in the year, though, Nintendo could be positioning itself for even stronger holiday sales. With this, Nintendo has pledged to try to "maintain the momentum of the platform and to reach a broader audience". "Your new Nintendo God is the Switch!" or anything like that.
