Honoring Prince: It's A Paisley Park Celebration!

Minneapolis is turning purple today to mark the first anniversary of Prince's death. One year after his tragic death, everyone seems to still be reeling - both from knowing that Prince is gone, and from how fast time flies!

Questlove shared a short video clip of the late singer during a recording session with the caption, "may we all learn, that flawless consistent practice ... makes satisfaction". Unfortunately, the legal turmoil surrounding the rights to Prince's music, as well as the ongoing investigation into his death from the painkiller fentanyl, may impact his legacy as one of the greatest artists of all time.

April 2017: Prince's sought-after unreleased music, a six-track EP entitled Deliverance, was set to be released on the one-year anniversary of his death via Paisley Park audio engineer George Ian Boxill, who recorded the songs with Prince but completed them alone after the star's death.

He said he had always wanted to return to Paisley Park and work with Prince, but the opportunity did not materialise.

The world was shaken by the "1999" singer's death a year ago.

Last adventure ahead for NASA's Cassini spacecraft at Saturn
A new image from NASA's Cassini spacecraft shows planet Earth as a point of light between the icy rings of Saturn. A particle from the rings - even as small as a speck of sand - could cripple Cassini , given its velocity.

The first 10,000 fans will receive a "Purple Rain" umbrella. In one moment he would be going strictly down one path, and then the next he would completely change his mind and go in a different direction - so it is hard to tell.

Hearing that Prince had died didn't seem real.

"When you would sit down [with him]...he was...just some guy from Minneapolis who would talk about basketball or about movies that were out", he tells ABC Radio.

Last June, the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office stated that Prince died of an opioid overdose, and on Monday, it was revealed in newly unsealed documents that a doctor admitted to prescribing the singer opioids under a false name.

The photographs were taken by the music icon's Paisley House in-house photographer, Steve Parke, and show Prince at various stages in his career. "It's the best way to put it", Myers said.
