Prince William Visits Paris for the First Time Since Princess Diana's Death

Over the course of two days, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will attend a series of events, including a reception for young French leaders and a formal dinner at the residence of Her Majesty's Ambassador, Kensington Palace announced last month.

Earlier this week, the U.K.'s Prince William skipped a Commonwealth Day service to go on a ski trip with some friends.

Britain's Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge, and his wife Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge arrive for a diner at the British Embassy in Paris on March 17, 2017.

Arriving Friday in Paris, Kate Middleton and Prince William immediately went to the Elysee Palace to meet the President of the Republic, François Hollande.

Kate, clad in a chic multi-color Chanel tweed dress, was all smiles while lovingly staring into the eyes of her husband, who looked dapper in a navy blue suit and burgundy tie.

Prince William has delivered a reassuring message about United Kingdom and French relations, saying Britain's friendship with France would not change despite Brexit.

In terms of the Melbourne race at least, and in stark contrast to Ricciardo, Carey's hope came true. What the Melbourne race and Ricciardo got instead was nothing but ill fortune.

It's a bittersweet trip to Paris for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

On Friday, during a busy first day in Paris, Kate wore a dazzling gown to a dinner staged in the royal couple's honour while William reassured his hosts that British-French relations are secure despite Brexit.

"The depth of our friendship and the breadth of our cooperation will not change", he said.
And even though she shared a pint of Guinness with Wills to honor soldiers from the Irish Guards on St. Patrick's Day in Hounslow, West London, she was boiling on the inside.

With the visit of Prince William and Kate Middleton in Paris, France, it appears that the couple is not having a problem with their relationship. Guests for the evening included actresses Kristen Scott Thomas, who played Queen Elizabeth II in "The Audience" on Broadway, and Audrey Tatou and actor Jean Reno.

"I have been reminded over the last few years, as Catherine and I have attended commemorations of the two world wars, how much [our two countries] have experienced together and have stood together in moments of great crisis".

People magazine said the trip was announced after the royals attended the British Academy Film and Television Arts Awards show. The prince has travelled to France for various events but until this weekend had not visited in an official capacity.
