Xiaomi on Thursday finally launched the Redmi Note 4 in India.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has been announced in India, and this is a budget offering starting at Rs 9,999.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 sports a metal unibody design and bears a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel. Also, it's worth mentioning here that the Redmi Note 4 is the first Redmi phone to feature 2.5D Curved Glass.
The device is priced at Rs 9,999 for the 2GB RAM+32GB ROM variant, Rs, 10,999 for the 3GB RAM+32GB storage and Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM+64GB, so it will have to take on several other devices, including Moto G4 Plus (priced Rs 13,499) and LeEco Le 2 (priced Rs 11,999) in the Indian market.
The Redmi Note 4 comes in with MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. According to Xiaomi, the battery in Redmi Note 4 is 25 per cent more efficient than its predecessor. It supports expandable storage via microSD card (up to 128GB) in a hybrid dual-SIM card configuration. You still get the 3.5mm headphone jack on the device, and as with all Xiaomi devices, this one too comes with a IR Blaster. In India, the company has introduced the Gold, Grey, and Silver colour variants, with a brand new Matte Black colour variant coming soon. One small concern I have with outdoor shots on the Redmi Note 4 is the color tone, which is slightly on the warmer side.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 sports a 13-Megapixel primary sensor with f/2.0, PDAF, dual LED flash and a 5-Megapixel secondary sensor with beautify mode.
The front snappers on both the devices are the same 5MP unit.
Iraq special forces chief says mission accomplished in east Mosul
Both places are on the east bank of the Tigris River that divides Mosul, whose western side is still under full IS control. Presumably, ISIS terrorists were going to load the plane with explosives and target it on one of convoys of the Iraqi Army.
Additionally, the Note 4 comes with 2/3/4GB of RAM and the Adreno 506 GPU. "We've kept all the things that are great (about the Redmi Note 3) and made them even better (in the case of the Redmi Note 4)", a company spokesperson said while speaking exclusively with India Today Tech.
Already launched in China a year ago, Xiaomi will feature company's latest MIUI 8 out of the box.
The Redmi Note 4 handset is expected to be available in three models- 2GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage, another one with 3GB of RAM 32GB of storage and the last one with mega 4GB RAM with 64 GB of inbuilt memory.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is company's best-selling smartphone in India with more than 2.6 million units sold till now. - The dualSIM phone supports 4G LTE (VoLTE-ready) and USB OTG.
The predecessor Redmi Note 3 packed in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC - a processor we ended up absolutely loving.
To the eyes and spec-geeks, the 13MP camera on the Redmi Note 4 might seem a downgrade to the 16MP snapper on the Redmi Note 3.
