The Xperia X Concept firmware has since received a couple of updates, but the latest one that was rolled out under the program is found to be based not on Android 7.0 Nougat, but rather on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. However, the OS is only available for those who have registered and installed Concept for Android awhile ago.
Sony Corp. (NYSE:SNE) has started rolling out the latest Android Nougat 7.1.1 for its flagship Xperia X smartphone, becoming the first company to release the mobile operating system apart from Google.
Again, you have to be part of Sony's Xperia Concept Program to be eligible for this OTA update. The new features in this Android version include the restart button when holding down the power button, just like on the Google Pixel.
