Potential Replacements For Auburn Offensive Coordinator Rhett Lashlee

With Lashlee's help, the 2013-14 seasons were the best consecutive seasons offensively in Auburn history, with the 2014 Tigers team setting the school record for total offense.

"This is a great opportunity for Rhett to implement and run his own offense", Malzahn said.

If the NCAA truly decides to address this issue by placing say a five-year ban on coaches if they fail to address domestic violence issues involving their players or staff, coaches will treat this matter far more seriously than Briles did.

He actually played for Mazlahn in high school before attending Arkansas, where he played quarterback and backed up former first-round pick Matt Jones.

The offense Auburn runs is the one Malzahn began developing almost 25 years ago when he got his first head coaching job at Hughes High School in Arkansas in 1992.

Lashlee spent the last four seasons at Auburn and has twice been a finalist for the Broyles Award, given to the nation's top assistant coach.

Saudi security forces confirmed on Saturday that they had shot and killed two suspected terrorists in Riyadh. The two have been identified as Tayea Salem Yaslam Al-Sayari and Talal Samran Al-Saadi.

In his previous "solo" venture, Lashlee served as offensive coordinator for the Samford Bulldogs (coached by former Auburn quarterback Pat Sullivan) in 2011.

Through Auburn's first three games of the season, the Tigers' offense struggled. "Our relationship will always be good", Lashlee told the school's official athletics website on Wednesday. "Auburn's very dear to us".

At his new post in Storrs, Conn., Lashlee will no longer be under the head coach's shadow. But even though Edsall played quarterback in college and broke into the coaching ranks on offense, the bulk of his experience has been on the defensive side of the ball.

UConn finished the 2016 season No. 122 in total offense and averaged 4.8 yards a play for the entire season.

So this move may lead to Lashlee becoming a head coach in a few years.

To leave an SEC West blue-blood program like Auburn for essentially a basketball school like UConn is a unusual lateral move for Lashlee to make.
