Ben Affleck Unsure If He'll Direct Standalone Batman Movie

Fans have been receiving mixed responses from Ben Affleck concerning the filming of DCEU's The Batman.

Affleck spoke with The Guardian recently and revealed that he still planned on directing a Batman solo movie, expected to be titled The Batman.

In April's CinemaCon, Warner Bros. chief Kevin Tsujihara confirmed that a stand alone Batman film with Affleck starring and directing is in the works. "Official." As a effect of that, and likely some negotiations that are still ongoing (it could be Affleck is holding out for a better deal before he agrees to "announce" more), the actor cum filmmaker has forced us all to take a step back.

Ben Affleck has had career highs (Good Will Hunting) and lows (Gigli and his entire Jennifer Lopez period) and highs again (Best Picture Oscar victor Argo).

After Batman v Superman was released - and torn apart by the majority of critics - Affleck has been left to defend the film he made.

Oscar victor Ben Affleck ("Argo") directed and stars in the dramatic crime thriller "Live by Night". He said, "That's the idea, But it's not a set thing and there's no script". Ask him why he took the Batman role and he replies with characteristic honesty that he did it for his son.

The actor and director went on to talk about a conversation he had with Marty Brest about the real estate mogul.

It seems like nobody really knows what is going on with Ben Affleck's in development solo Batman movie for Warner Bros.at the moment.

According to the actor/director, nothing is set in stone as of yet but he won't commit to directing the movie if it doesn't meet his standards. Affleck who has been working on the script has remained vague about its progress ever since. "The Batman" is a very high-profile film and everyone will be watching to see how well it performs.
