China imposes limit on oil supply to North Korea

U.S. Air Force bombers flew over worldwide waters east of North Korea as tension simmers between the two nations and their respective leaders, and a tremor earlier struck close to North Korea's nuclear test site.

The agency said the quake occurred around Kilju in north-eastern North Korea, about 20 kilometres south-east of the site of a nuclear test earlier this month.

North Korea detonated its sixth and most powerful nuclear weapon earlier this month at its underground Punggye-ri site northeast of Pyongyang, causing a quake with a magnitude of around 6.3.

China has announced that it will limit energy supplies to North Korea and stop buying its textiles under United Nations sanctions imposed over its nuclear and missile development, further reducing support from Pyongyang's last ally. "We can not conclusively confirm at this time the nature (natural or human-made) of the event".

Earlier US president Donald Trump lashed out at Kim during a rally speech in Alabama. -North Korea nuclear crisis, no one can be sure where this would lead or whether the North will even carry out its threat.

Ri said Trump himself was on a "suicide mission" after the United States president had said Kim was on such a mission.

China hoped that Japan talked and acted cautiously and played a constructive role on the nuclear issue, he said. Mr Trump also told the United Nations that if "forced to defend itself or its allies, we will have no choice but to totally destroy North Korea".

All North Korea's nuclear tests registered as earthquakes of magnitude 4.3 or above.

Russian Federation urged calm on Friday after US President Donald Trump called North Korean leader Kim Jong Un a "madman". Since Kim came to power after the death of his father Kim Jong Il in 2011, he has ramped up nuclear and missile weapon tests.

Trump has described peace between Israelis and Palestinians as "the ultimate deal". Egyptian state press said the NY meetings would further reconciliation.

Trump called Kim a "madman" on Friday, a day after Kim dubbed him a "mentally deranged U.S. dotard".

North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho's remarks to the United Nations General Assembly came hours after US Air Force B-1B Lancer bombers escorted by fighters flew in global airspace over waters east of North Korea in a show of force the Pentagon said showed the range of military options available to Trump.

So-called atmospheric tests of nuclear weapons were banned by the USA, the then-Soviet Union and numerous world's nations in a 1963 treaty, though China conducted the last such test known worldwide in 1980.

Mr Trump said: "We can't have madmen out there shooting rockets all over the place", adding: "Rocket Man should have been handled a long time ago".

The article said, "For more than seven decades since the foundation of the UN, no chief executives or diplomats including the preceding U.S. presidents have openly called for the obliteration of another state" at the UN General Assembly.

North Korea's state-run Korean Central News Agency published articles Saturday with comments slamming Trump. The country also has tested more than a dozen missiles this year, some of which have flown over Japan - a strong US ally.

China also chose to limit exports of refined petroleum products to North Korea from October 1 in line with the export ceiling imposed under the U.N. Security Council Resolution No. 2375.

Prohibition of the imports of North Korean textiles should be carried out immediately from the date of announcement, and for the volume of transactions that have been concluded prior to the passage of the United Nations resolution, the import procedure must be completed by December 10, the ministry said.
