Andy Murray withdraws from Hurlingham Club exhibition ahead of Wimbledon

Murray's last practice session was a light one at the All England Club on Tuesday, and although it is possible he might still have one on Friday, he may need to spend another day on the sidelines.

Andy Murray has pulled out of a second pre-Wimbledon exhibition match at London's Hurlingham Club today due to a sore hip.

Just days before he opens his Wimbledon title defense, Andy Murray is dealing with a sore hip.

The world number seven was due to face Karolina Pliskova in the last four but on Friday morning withdrew due to a spine injury.

Lendl says the loss to Thompson was nothing out of the ordinary, noting that in the same round of the Queen's tournament Stan Wawrinka and Milos Raonic also suffered embarrassing exits.

Trump Says Chicago Crime and Killings Have Reached 'Epidemic Proportions'
President Trump said Friday that he's sending "federal help" to Chicago to deal with the city's spate of gun violence. As of Thursday, 320 murders had been committed in Chicago this year, two less than at this same point in 2016.

Even if he's healthy enough to play at Wimbledon, his lack of preparation on grass prior to the event is a concern.

Granted, Murray only participated in the AEGON Championships previous year between the French Open and winning his second Wimbledon title, but he went on to win at the Queen's Club, an omen for what was to come at the All England Club.

"It is nerve-racking, I get very nervous and I feel the pressure before Wimbledon every year", Murray pointed out.

Despite a year which has seen him struggle with form, illness and injury, the Scot is set to be seeded No1 at the Wimbledon championships when the rankings are confirmed today. "He was a little more hesitant, and that gave me a bit more time".

It means Murray will have a maximum of two matches on grass before he begins the defence of his Wimbledon title.
