A "horrific" shooting in an OH town has killed one woman and injured eight people, including three children, police say.

Officers responded to the 9900 block of Capstan Drive at approximately 11:20 p.m. for a 911 reported multiple gunshots.

"Hopefully there we can get some more information and descriptions, all the information we need to be able to proceed to continue this investigation, hopefully get the people who did the shooting", Colerain Township Police Ofc. One witness told a 911 operator that two men came in, starting shooting, and then left.

Three children were shot; their injuries, however, were not life-threatening, the report said.

One victim is in critical condition, three are in fair condition and one is in stable condition according to the hospital. They've not been identified by Colerain Township police; two cars were towed from the scene, but FOX19 says police are still establishing a motive and pursuing leads. There is no one in custody at this point, and police are working on investigating the case.

Witnesses told police they saw the two gunmen run out before driving away in a auto.

"You're hoping that there won't be situations like this", Love said.
