What's new in WatchOS 4?

Apple is expected to launch a new watch later this year, and in preparation, it is also set to announce the fourth iteration of its watchOS operating system at WWDC 2017 on 5 June. With the brand new Siri Watch Face, Apple says machine learning will adapt automatically and surface new information each time you raise your wrist. First up along the line is the Siri Watch Face.

Woody, Jessie and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story are now joining the selection of Disney watch faces already available on Apple Watch. The Activity app has a set of new notifications to help you get moving, with some super smart personalized achievement progress and monthly challenges, based on individual history.

With GymKit, customers using their favorite cardio equipment will soon be able to pair their Apple Watch directly to treadmills, ellipticals, indoor bikes or stair steppers from global manufacturers such as Life Fitness and Technogym with a simple tap.

watchOS 4 will roll out to all Apple Watch owners in the second half of 2017. And if you're the sort who can't start a run without some music, you can pick a playlist that automatically starts alongside your routine.

The Apple Watch update will also make the device a better virtual coach, if that's how you use it.

Sony officially ends production and shipment of PlayStation 3 in Japan
First launched in November 2006, the PS3 console leaves a legacy of more than a thousand games, both exclusive and non-exclusive. Are there any games coming for free you are excited to play? These two games are also available on PS4 via the Cross-buy.

Apple improved the fitness capabilities of the watchOS. One looks genuinely useful, one looks ridiculously good fun, and the last one looks absolutely pointless.

watchOS 4 will hit all eligible wearables later this fall. Users will be able to browse this continuously-updated Siri face by simply twisting their Watch's Digital Crown - and will also be able to receive up-to-the-moment updates from apps such as Wallet, Home, and 3 party apps and much more.

The Kaleidoscope face, as the name suggests, will add a more pop effect to the Apple Watch. The dev preview will be available today, with a free update available for all Watch users in the fall. Apple has also been working on custom heart rate algorithms specifically designed for high intensity interval training.

The Workout app has been redesigned as well with easier navigation and a minimalistic landing page. There's also support for audio recording in the background navigation, screen auto-rotate and native Core Bluetooth. Similar to the iPhone, the control center will also now have flashlight functionality using the display.
