DNC Allies: Clinton Wrong to Blame National Party for Loss

Since reemerging in public after her defeat in November, Clinton has leveled sharp criticism at a host of targets she blames for President Donald Trump's victory, including Russian Federation, former FBI Director James Comey and major news organizations like the New York Times.

Former Secretary of State and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton spoke with Recode co-founder Kara Swisher and editor Walt Mossberg about her campaign, Russian interference in the 2016 election and the weaponization of technology. "They are a threat", Clinton said at the event near Los Angeles.

With multiple investigations underway, she asked, "How did they know what messages to deliver?"

Mr Trump was not buying it.

But her allies also acknowledge that Clinton's grievances about the DNC are real and also note that she had lamented well before Election Day that the Democratic Party's infrastructure did not serve her well.

He went on to say the "irony of her bashing DNC: *our* models never had [Michigan/Wisconsin/Pennsylvania] looking even close to safe".

"The Republican president struck back in a tweet late Wednesday, criticizing his election opponent for not taking responsibility for her loss". "People in covfefe houses shouldn't throw covfefe", it said. It surpassed Trump's original "covfefe" tweet, which was retweeted more than 127,000 times and "liked" more than 162,000 times when it was deleted.

They've never really anxious about us in terms of the way they've prepared. That's completely up to them but I know we'll do our homework.

The tweet remained online for some 5½ hours, drawing worldwide ridicule.

"Once I moved from serving someone - a man, the president - to seeking that job on my own, I was once again vulnerable to the barrage of innuendo and negativity and attacks that come with the territory of a woman who is striving to go further", Clinton said.

She added: "I also think I was the victim of the very broad assumption that I was going to win".

Clinton's rehashing of the 2016 election results and the reasons she lost that were outside her control has become a regular feature of her public appearances and apparently will account for a significant portion of her forthcoming book.

"They covered it like it was Pearl Harbor", she said in reference to The New York Times' coverage of the unexpected October revelation that Comey had made a decision to reopen the investigation into her email scandal.

Later, in response to a question from a reporter from the Mashable website, Clinton said social media platforms should play a larger role in monitoring the content on their sites and preventing false information from gaining traction and spreading online.
