Ariana Grande gets emotional as she closes One Love Manchester concert

Last night some of the biggest pop stars on the planet came together in Manchester.

One of her most famous songs that she helped to write is I Hate That You Love Me, performed by Diddy Dirty Money.

Ariana Grande took the stage in Manchester last night in order to headline a benefit concert for the victims of the Manchester terror attack.

Grande performed her duet Better Days with Victoria Monet and sang Where Is The Love? with Black Eyed Peas.

Earlier in the night Coldplay joined Grande on stage to sing Oasis's hit Don't Look Back In Anger, which has been an anthem for Manchester since the tragedy.

She closed the three-hour-plus event with a cover of "Over the Rainbow", crying onstage at the song's end as the audience cheered her on.

Singer-actress Miley Cyrus' performance was all about her friendship with Grande, who noted the "Bang Bang" hitmaker's strength as a role model.

Rachel Jea, 32, said she was at Grande's previous Manchester concert and felt it was important to attend Sunday's show to regain trust after the bombing. Over $9 million was raised at the event for the victims and their families.

She said: "Before we go any further, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being here today".

After singing acoustic versions of his hit songs "Love Yourself" and "Cold Water", Justin Bieber took a moment to pay tribute to those who could not be at the concert.

Grande wore a One Love Manchester sweatshirt - and numerous fans wore shirts bearing similar messages, or face paint saying "I heart MCR", or #WeStandTogether stickers.

An average of 10.9 million viewers watched Ariana and other acts including Take That, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Liam Gallagher, Coldplay, Little Mix and Pharrell Williams take to the stage in front of 50,000 at Old Trafford.
