Is Conor McGregor not a massive star? "I've watched (vision from) 'The Dog House" (Mayweather's boxing gym), he just strikes me of a real bully-type character, he makes these guys fight each other endless rounds until one is badly hurt.
One of the main reasons the fight was taking so long to materialise was because Jeff Mayweather, Floyd's uncle, and Bob Arum said that the UFC want around 80 percent of whatever McGregor makes in this fight.
"I don't mind MMA and I've been fascinated by Conor McGregor from a business perspective", Hearn said to The Guardian. He's stepped up for big fights for this company, and for me and for [former UFC CEO] Lorenzo [Fertitta].
UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor is becoming a household name to fans even outside of the MMA community and with that fame comes some not so fun things too (at least for him). He feels White and the UFC are abusing McGregor by demanding a split of 80-20. Jeff, are you the spokesman now for Team Mayweather?
'Whatever way it goes, Conor walks away with a lot of money I don't think you can call him a loser regardless of the result.

In an interview with CBS , Tillerson described Russia's explanation for the suspected chemical attack as "not plausible" and "not credible".
"If 80/20 is going to give you more money than you ever made, you really can't complain about it", Jeff Mayweather said. And (boxing promoter) Bob Arum?
Hearn added: 'All you're lacking in this fight is the bad bloke. You know what they know about this fight? After Conor has his baby, we're meeting in NY. We're going to meet in NY when he has his baby. "So basically we're very close". When asked if a deal could be struck, Mayweather said earlier this year, "absolutely".
Dates in September are now being touted for the Las Vegas showdown, which would see Mayweather contest a 50th pro bout as McGregor amazingly makes his pro debut.
"Mayweather's team would have to deal with [their broadcaster] Showtime", White confirmed. "Cause I know all the talk of "A" side, "B" side and all this stuff".
But negotiations are proving to be time consuming, seemingly because there are so many egos arguing over who should be the A-side and who should be the B-side - which essentially just means who is mentioned first on the official fight poster. That's the split I'm talking about.
