Governor Andrew Cuomo is headed to Israel later today.
On Sunday Governor Andrew Cuomo announced a new organization created to improve economic and cultural relations between NY and Israel. "New York´s principles were built on a rock", Cuomo added.
Jewish Community Centers in Westchester County, Buffalo, Syracuse and Albany were among those that were hit with bomb threats.
"We have made it clear that there will be no tolerance for these acts of antisemitism", Cuomo said. "Through the launch of the New York-Israel Commission, Governor Cuomo is once again working to deliver results for two global powerhouses by further strengthening their economic ties".

The state is also offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the prosecution of those responsible for bomb threats. Outdoor enthusiasts and activists from across NY have gathered in Albany to urge state lawmakers to back Gov.
The taxpayer-funded trip, which included six government aides, also included an announcement by Cuomo that Israel and NY will create a commission to strengthen economic and cultural ties. "The second objective of this trip is 'Hineini, ' I am here, I have been here before, and I will be here again".
"We believe this is actually an opportune time to enhance the relationship because to the extent anyone believes that they can separate the NY people or the Jewish community or the NY people from Israel, they are sadly mistaken". Rivlin also said Israel appreciated US President Donald Trump's condemnation of the attacka, as well as words and actions taken by Vice President Mike Pence, who went to a Jewish cemetery in St. Louis that was vandalized. In New York City alone, anti-Semitic hate crimes almost doubled in the past year.
Governor Cuomo attended a security briefing at Jerusalem's Old City Police Headquarters with Minister of Public Security and Minister of Strategic Affairs Gilad Erdan, Director of the New York State Office of Counter Terrorism Major Michael J. Cerretto and Special Counsel for Public Safety Letizia Tagliafierro.
Cuomo last visited Israel in the wake of the 2014 Gaza War, also on a whirlwind 24-hour trip.
