Malaysia says Kim Jong Nam died after two women smeared his face with the banned VX nerve agent at Kuala Lumpur's airport on February 13, but North Korea - which is widely suspected to be behind the attack - rejects the findings. He did not elaborate on how authorities came to the conclusion, or whether DNA samples were still needed to identify the body.
North Korea has referred to the deceased only as Kim Chol, the name that appeared in the diplomatic passport he was traveling on when he died. Two women - one Indonesian, one Vietnamese - have been charged with murder but say they were duped into thinking they were playing a harmless prank.

Nine Malaysians - three embassy staff and members of their families - are in North Korea while about 315 North Koreans are in Malaysia. He added that they had been offered support from other foreign missions in Pyongyang, including the provision of supplies from outside North Korea.
