Elon Musk's New AI Startup Will Merge Computers With Human Brains

This time, he is funding Neuralink, a brain-computer interface venture that was primarily founded to ensure humans will be able to compete and not get left behind by advancements made in machines or AI (artificial intelligence). Tweeting about Neuralink, Mr. Musk conceded it would be "difficult to dedicate the time, but an existential risk is too high not to".

Neural lace involves implanting electrodes in the brain so people could upload or download their thoughts to or from a computer, according to the WSJ report. Elon Musk, however, did not make any comments regarding the issue, but one of the members of the founding team Max Hodak confirmed the news about Musk's presence in Neuralink.

Elon Musk certainly keeps busy.

When connected to the brain, the person can think of an action and the brain will send that signal to the sensors attached to the limb, triggering a muscle contraction and allowing it to move.

Entrepreneur Elon Musk is the man behind the vehicle company Tesla, the inventor of PayPal and the genius behind Space X, Hyperloop and even more.

Wizards defeat Lakers to clinch Southeast Division crown, ending 38-year drought
As the Lakers suddenly couldn't score, Washington went to work rolling off the first 11 points of the first to claw within four. The teams traded buckets before a three-point play by Beal gave the Wizards a 108-104 edge with 2:51 remaining.

Exhausted of being stuck with a boring analogue brain, Musk finally founded a company to help overcome this great barrier to progress.

He took part in creating a nonprofit research company devoted to developing artificial intelligence that will help people and not hurt them.

Musk had announced in August 2016 that he is working on neural lace design, a technology to augment human intelligence and avoid the AI domination.

Musk has hinted at interest in neural-lace technology before.

Building on simpler technology already in use to treat Parkinson's disease, the internal computers could be used at first to deal with brain disorders such as epilepsy and depression, a market the Wall Street Journal suggested is worth billions of dollars. He's also helped set up the company in a significant way already.
